A very handmade christmas…

One would assume that Christmas would be a crafter’s delight, providing ample opportunity and excuse for creating and making. However, I have always found the cheesy music, gaudy decor and general excess somewhat trying. This year, in an effort to look on the bright side  and to be less of a ‘bar humbug’ I have decided to embrace the christmas spirit.

I have decked the halls and my good old plastic christmas tree andI am bust plotting our christmas feast. I have also decided to try my hand at making some of my own christmas decorations. The amazing Amanda Loder – Maker of Things, took me through a crash course in porcelain hanging ornaments and the results are lovely! Who knew these bespoke beauties were so simple to make?
